Every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6 pm till 9 pm. POTP invite all sorts of poetry and we welcome readers as well as those who can perform from memory. The group has a few musicians who do poetry as well so you get the chance to enjoy some music as well as the great poetry.

Attendance is $5. We are a not for profit group.

Now that Covid restrictions have eased a bit, we can go back to meeting at St Margaret’s Hall beside the Sandgate State School on the slip road beside Rainbow Street in central Sandgate. Follow the signs and receive a warm welcome. Please follow Covid requirements of mask-wearing and social distancing.

Right now, we are unable to provide meals or refreshments until Covid restrictions are fully lifted, so for now please bring your own. In normal times, meals are arranged at the meetings; sometimes it’s Pizza, sometimes we buy prepared meals. Feel free to bring your own, we have heating facilities there.

Get in touch so that we may put you on the emailing list.

The Covid virus meant we have been meeting “virtually” on line using ZOOM and we may have to return to this depending on developments. Joining a Zoom session is usually very easy. We often have a guest poet/entertainer of note for the ZOOM online meetings which makes things just a bit more interesting. Contact us and when we send the reply email you simply click (left click with your mouse) on the address sent and follow a couple of instructions as they come up. Be patient, some steps take a while. Contact us by phone for help setting it up if needed.
